Well, hi there! Long time, no see. :) I like how just as I'm able to successfully identify most of the pokemon and what egg they come in, a new generation is released...sigh.

A little about me:

-I'm VERY new to Pokemon. I wasn't allowed to have it as a kid, at all; it was outlawed at my elementary school when the fad was at its peak, and we weren't allowed to have anything to do with it at home because my mom wanted us to focus on "better things". I tried watching the original show some time ago (shortly after I got into this site, I believe) and haven't yet gotten past the first season. :P I do intend to take it up again, though I doubt I'll be trying the games anytime soon; I'm a terrible gamer.

-Yes, I name my Pokemon. I try to come up with creative and/or interesting names, but do not always succeed, BUT I also don't like changing names after I've established one. Since a lot of Pokemon are based off of animals--something I'm passionate about--I like to choose my names from things related to the animal it represents, i.e. a favorite character(s) that happens to be that type of animal, an interesting species, or a color/breed that animal comes in. Really, it's for my own amusement, because I love learning more about animals, especially the ones I work with.

-I'm a huge bookworm. Most of what I read nowadays is Young Adult (YA) because I find most of the Teen section to be trashy. I'm also a fan of a lot of classics. Brian Jacques, James Herriot, John Steinbeck and Diana Wynne Jones are among my favorite authors.
