It all happened very fast. It was raining too hard for the trees to make any shelter to me. I was cold and running for home. It was then that I heard the cry, I had no idea what it was, but I found myself running for the blood curdling cry. A Raichu stood on all fours with its tail lashing at the air. I didn't notice the threat at first, but they noticed me. "Get out of here you stupid litle girl!" The growl of a man as his hand flew across my face. I fell into the mud, but the Raichu tackled the man to the floor. I looked to where it was standing revealing two tiny eggs. The second man noticed too, we were both running for them. These were hunters, Raichu tails had a special chemical that people paid a lot of money for. It was terrible, the Raichu whose tail had been hacked off were either mercifully killed beforehand, or bled to death after. It had been all over the news. I tackled him to the floor, just as the Raichu had for me. I scrambled for his gun that had dropped and pointed it towards him. It trembled in my hand, I had never used one in my life but I hoped my bluff was believable. Both men stopped dead in their tracks; "You don't want to use that." "Get out of here." I growled with fiercness that frightened even myself! They backed away quickly, and I heard their running footsteps before I could turn to the Raichu. I carefully walked closer; "It's okay, I won't hurt you." I promised, but the pokemon seemed too weak to care, it collapsed into my arms. I took the eggs too and ran in the rain once more. I waited patiently for the eggs to hatch. Only one survived the cold, and the devastated Raichu died with it. I look after Rai-Rai still now. She is smaller than average due to the cold birth and will forever be the reason I look after eggs.
I got a Zergoose egg from the shelter, my first Novelty. ^^ [23rd Nov 09] I recieved a Regice for the Christmas Events! [18th Dec 09] Hatched my first shiny on the first Bulbasaur egg hatched! [30th Jan 10]
