Rei is 17 and from the Crescent Moon Kingdom. At age four, his entire family was kidnapped, all the women murdered, and he and all the men in his village were taken to act like slaves. He made a friend, to whom he vowed he would protect that friend's sister. Once he managed to be free of his prison at age 12, he found that girl and gave her the grim news that her brother had died. Since then, Rei has protected and served Yukai faithfully, although he's admittedly homosexual. He is a master of the katana, top-notch speed, and very good at taijutsu.
