Having being evolved, and therefore used in battles and contests, at a very young age, Deathglam is used to being the centre of attention. It's not a far stretch to call her a somewhat spoilt pokémon. If she feels that she is not receiving enough notice, she will attempt to draw the focus back to herself, probably by attempting to upstage whoever is getting the most recognition.
This used to most often be Hullabaloo, who would create an uproar when upset, and so even today the two of them refuse to be friends.
