Gareth competes with Buzzkill for their Trainers attention by trying to outrace him. Gareth is fast, but he just can't beat the Beedrill in the air.
He still collects shiny things, like he did as a Gabite, but he has a better understanding of what is really junk now. Gareth looks fierce, but he loves his Trainer and would never hurt her or the other Pokemon on purpose.
