My first pokemon. Picture it, a young Nexus sitting by a pond, fishing, when he notices a large group of Spearow surrounding and attacking something. He rushes over and attempts to bat away the attackers to find a suffering Wooper on the ground. He throws himself on top of it until the barrage of beaks and claws comes to an end, then rushes to town with the injured pokemon in his arms. The two become quick and close friends, and it's not until a few years later that he officially catches him in order to save him from being taken by Team Rocket. The two then set out on a long long journey.
