Takeya (pronounced Tah-keh-yah) was the first pokemon Rei ever caught in the wild. He was a level 4 Shinx. He traveled with her throughout Sinnoh, battled many gym leaders, and even helped in the Pokemon League. Now, more than two years later, he is still at her side. However, now his main job is to act as a peace maker for Yono and Plushie.

Takeya likes napping in warm areas, celebrating holidays, and eating apple pie. He greatly dislikes very noisy people who just don't realize how loud they are.
