Irene met this Lunatone while training with Sonjia at Meteor Falls; something was disturbing Sonjia's Psychic attack.
It was Baaleth trying to communicate, but being it a very young Lunatone, it was just messing up. Irene realized that a Psychic type would have been useful to train and proposed the Lunatone to join her team. Baaleth can understand people's feelings, emotions and thoughts very easily, but is at the same time very lazy and doesn't use its powers as much as it could.
