Fawkes is lazy, and prefers to sit around, preening and singing, but when it senses that Tsukasa is sad, it will create a beautiful rainbow for her to make her smile. Tsukasa uses its song to soothe her Pokemon to sleep on many nights.
When Fawkes first met Tsukasa, she was so overjoyed at seeing Fawkes that she squealed out loud and hugged the phoenix. "I think I'll name you Fawkes." she said. Fawkes just cooed and preened Tsukasa as if she were its baby.
