About GPXPlus
Just who are the creators behind it?
The website was completely coded by both Zerxer
and Big Bidoof/Jeff
.The layout and custom graphics were created by our PokéExpert Wymsy
(yes, she is a female). She also designed a lot of the eggs and handles the egg giveaway events.
Also responsible for most of the egg designs is Kazyx
, and Pokii
for making several custom sprites and some egg designs. Also thanks to Black Ice
and Icicle
for making various icons and sprites.Special thanks to Rock'n'Roll
for the official Professor Cypress
art you see around the site, and to Mommy Dearest
for updating and proof-reading this Help section.Other thanks go out to the companies listed in the footer's copyright section for creating such a great game!
When was GPXPlus first opened?
It originally opened on February 14th (Valentine's Day), 2009. After a week or two of being open, it had to be shut down for a little over a month due to the old server not being enough to handle all the traffic it accumulated very quickly. It officially reopened for good on March 25th, 2009.Why is the site named Global Pokédex Plus?
We wanted to keep its name similar to GTSPlus so we stuck with the "Global ___ Plus" idea and the site is about collecting Pokémon so the word "Pokédex" fit right in.Why is it GPX and not GPD?
Think about it. Which looks and sounds cooler? GPD or GPX? Yeah, that's why.Are there any new features planned for the future?
Of course! Aside from our current to-do list, there's always new ideas being suggested on the forums. Most updates will also be announced on the forums and at the top of this site.
Has every Pokémon been implemented into its own collectable egg?
Yes, every Pokémon can already be collected. However, ones usually referred to as legendaries can only be obtained through specific means, outlined later in this guide in the Legendaries & Novelties section.Privacy Policy

Explorations are task-orientated quests a user may embark on to obtain a reward. There are two different types of Explorations: Normal and Special.Very important note!
When a task tells you to have one or more specific Pokémon in your Party, you cannot use ones you already had; you must obtain them after you embark on the Exploration. Please stop asking on the forums why these types of tasks won't let you proceed. What are the requirements for Explorations?
You may only embark on one Exploration at a time. Before starting an Exploration, you must have five or fewer Pokémon in your party as you are limited to a five-Pokémon party for the duration.
All Explorations have requirements in order for you to embark on them. These requirements are based off of Total Interactions, Total Achievements, and Pokédex Entries (Eggdex entries do not count and are not a requirement). There is also a point fee you must pay before embarking. All of these are listed on each Exploration.
Can Explorations be canceled?
You may cancel an Exploration at any time, but you may not restart the same Exploration again for seven days. Cancelling a Special Exploration will count against the allotted number of Special Explorations you may embark on for that month. How does an Exploration work?
Each Exploration is made up of a story and its accompanying tasks. Each task must be completed to progress to the next part. Once all the tasks are completed, you will be rewarded with a specific Pokémon egg (or other reward) related to said Exploration. You may re-embark on a completed Normal Exploration after [x] amount of days. The specific amount of time is unique for each Normal Exploration and will be listed on the Exploration tab. For Special Explorations, everybody is given an allotted number for Explorations they can embark on for the month. For example, if you were allowed to do 2 Special Explorations for the month and there were 5 to choose from, you would be able to go on 2 of those 5. You cannot do the same one twice in the same month, so you must wait for it to show up again during a later month.
Normal Explorations do not have any time limit in which they have to be completed. You can do them at your own pace. However, if you fail to complete a Special Exploration before the end of the month that Exploration is featured in, the Exploration will be canceled automatically and you will receive no reward.
What kinds of tasks are there?
An Exploration consists of many different tasks. These tasks may require you to:- Have a specific item in your inventory to progress. Once these tasks are completed, the item will be used and will no longer appear in your inventory.
- Have/Obtain a specific Pokémon (in your party). These Pokémon must be acquired after the start of the Exploration. Pokémon you already own will not count. To know whether or not a Pokémon will count, look at its Obtained Date in the timeline on its info page. The date here must be some time after you embarked on the Exploration itself. This also means you cannot use a pre-evo you had and just evolve it. Some may even require that you obtain them from the Safari, meaning you can't have hatched it yourself, or that you have hatched it yourself (obtained as an egg first); these ones will specifically mention that.
- Have a specific amount of berries fed to your Pokémon. Your Pokémon, whether Wild or one or more that were locked to your Party, will have a status condition that cannot be cured unless it is fed the required berry.
- Have a specific Pokémon in your party during one or more tasks. You will not be able to remove this Pokémon until the task is completed and it will be locked into your party. Pokémon which are locked into a party will not be able to be deposited into the PC/Walker/Daycare, almost as if they had Pokérus.
- Find a specific Exploration item around the site. You will find the item in the same manner as normal items (when it says you look to your feet and find it on the ground). However, these are much easier to find than normal items. As such, the Itemfinder will have no effect on finding this item. If you find the item needed, the notification at the top will have a red border and a little note in the bottom right of it about it being for your current task. Don't worry if your luck is normally bad, you will never be looking for items like this for more than a day.
Certain tasks may give you a Wild Pokémon which must be in your party for the duration of one or more tasks. These Pokémon will not be special in appearance and will look just like any other Pokémon. These Pokémon will occupy your sixth slot and will not reduce your five-Pokémon party further.
What are the rewards for Explorations?
Upon completion, an Exploration will reward the user with one of the following:- Difficult to obtain (but not Legendary/Novelty) Pokémon
- Very Rare Pokémon (only ones that cannot be Summoned/found randomly)
- Novelty Pokémon (some may be Exploration-exclusive and thus non-breedable)
- Very Rare Items (Summoning items, etc.)
Special Explorations
During each month, there will be one or more Special Explorations. These Explorations are unlike the Normal ones as you must complete it during that specific month and the reward for the completion of said Exploration will be a Special Reward. You are given the entire month to complete these. These Explorations will be replacing the Monthly Events.
Some of these Explorations will have more than one possible reward and during said Exploration, decisions you make will lead to one of these options. The impact of your decisions, however, will be clear. In other words, if there are three available rewards, you will decide which reward you wish to receive at a certain point during the Exploration.
You may need to complete an Exploration more than once to obtain all available rewards for said Exploration. However, there may be a lengthy wait time between attempts as the Special Explorations rotate in availability.
Choosing to embark on a Special Exploration may bar you from participating in any Event the site may have during that month.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why won't my egg hatch? It's at the maximum maturity...
All eggs must be at least an hour old to hatch. You can also buy a Flame Orb if you do not want to wait.It says I have over x amount of interactions recorded for the Newbie/Novice/Advanced/Expert Clicker achievement, but it won't go any higher! What's wrong?
That number is your current highest recorded number of interactions in one day, not your current daily progress. You must do all your clicks in one day in order to obtain these achievements. Is there any way to trade my Pokémon?
No, there isn't, and in all likelihood won't be. Most Pokémon can be found with relative ease, so we don't feel it necessary to implement any sort of trading system. How much happiness does this Pokémon need to evolve?
Pokémon that evolve through happiness need 200 happiness points before they may evolve. What is/was the Mystery Counter?
Well, if we told you that, it wouldn't be a very good mystery, now would it?That being said, all you really need to know is that if it gets really high, the following day, the entire site will get several special bonuses.
I don't want this egg/Pokémon. What can I do?
Pokémon must be in your possession for at least 12 hours before you can release them. Once that occurs, release becomes an option in the drop-down box. Pokémon are also able to be released from the PC. If you really want to get rid of your egg/Pokémon, you can also buy a Heart Scale and release it before the 12 hour limit. How many types of Pokémon are there in total?
At the time of writing, there are over 600 Pokémon in total. 493 from the original games, plus alternate forms for certain ones (Unown, Rotom, Shellos, etc.), and a handful of Novelty Pokémon we have created ourselves.I have a really great idea for a Novelty Pokémon! Is there any way to get it added?
No, we do not take Novelty suggestions, mostly in the interests of fairness - we can't realistically accept everyone's Novelty suggestion, and it isn't exactly fair to have one person's included over another's.Is EXP gained in the Underground?
No, the only thing gained in there is items.I like a particular Novelty Pokémon. How can I get one?
You can find them by getting lucky in the Shelter or Safari Zone.Where is the Safari Zone? I don't see it!
The Safari Zone is located in the Shelter Tab.I found this item. What does it do?
Hover your mouse over the item and the tooltip will provide an explanation. Items found under Valuable Items in your inventory have no uses other than being sold for points and acquiring specific Achievements. My Pokémon have been in the Daycare for ages. Why won't they breed?
There may be numerous reasons why a daycare pair hasn't bred. Are they different genders? Make sure there is both a male and female in the daycare.
Do they share at least one egg group? Pokémon must share at least one egg group to be compatible.
Are they related? They won't breed if they are parent/child or siblings.
Are their levels too different? If the difference between their levels is too great, they may not breed.
Does one of the Pokémon belong to the No Egg group? Legendaries (aside from Manaphy-which breeds Phione) and Unown will not breed. Ditto will not breed with itself to create more Ditto.
If none of the above is your problem, patience is the key. Just because they can breed every hour, doesn't mean they will. Wait and it will happen eventually.
But Professor Cypress' Mew and Ditto have bred!
Professor Cypress is not an actual person. It is a site-controlled account and as such perform feats not normally possible. My Pokémon have been in the Daycare for days, but they're still the same level! What's wrong?
Daycare no longer awards EXP to Pokémon.I completed an Achievement, but it still isn't unlocked!
You must click the link in the Achievments tab in the Pokétch which says "Click here to check for and unlock new achievements!" before it will unlock for you.My Achievements aren't working! What's wrong?
Achievements are exact to the letter they specify. If it says to breed Skitty with a Wailord and hatch its offspring, it must be a Skitty and a Wailord not a Delcatty and a Wailmer. All three must be in your possession and they must be in that form when you check your Achievements.I unlocked an Achievement, but I didn't get anything!
Not every Achievement has a reward. Some are just for bragging rights. It's been five days, why can't I evolve my Pokémon?
It must be five days exactly, to the minute, for you to evolve it. All things involving time requirements are to-the-minute exact. Why does my shiny count say that I have more shinies than I really do?
Evolutions and form changes also count towards your shiny achievements. That means if you've only hatched a single Pichu but evolved it into a Raichu, your shiny count would be 3 even though you've only hatched 1 shiny. Can I stack discounts during a shop sale with my Discount Coupon?
Yes. The Aurora gives you a 15% sale and the Discount Coupon gives you another 10%, so you'd have a 25% discount total if you used your coupon during an Aurora.I used my summoning item but I didn't see my legendary! What's going on?
You missed it. There is no guarantee of finding your summon. If your stat page says you unsuccessfully summoned something, then most likely you did just that.I donated at least $20, so why am I not listed as a donor yet?
You'll have to wait until one of the admins approves your name. They will get to it whenever they have the time to do so.I have all the Bidofo and Dracowymsy forms as well as Zergoose, but I still can't unlock the OCD achievement! Am I missing something?
You are missing Zombidofo. There's also a new Zergoose form that must be obtained by using a Blue Stone on a regular Zergoose egg.I can't log into my GPX account, even though I'm certain that I'm spelling everything right! What's going on?
You log in with your login name, not your display name.I have zero points and over ten thousand interactions, so why doesn't it show that I'm eligible for Total Bankruptcy?
If you meet all the requirements, check for new achievements anyway and you will receive it.Can I help people out with Explorations?
We would prefer if you do not spoil the tasks/story for explorations for other people, it takes the fun out of it and makes them less challenging.Professor Cypress' Lab
Professor Cypress' Lab is one of the two most common places from which Pokémon are obtained. How do I obtain an Egg from the Lab?
Simple! Just click one of the eggs that are shown to claim it, and it'll be moved to your party. Just be quick, as it is possible that, especially in the case of rarer Pokémon, that another user claims it first.Which Pokémon are available from the Lab?
Everything with exception to Novelty Pokémon, with very specific exceptions. Everything, including Legendary/Very Rare Pokémon can spawn in the Lab, however they are extremely rare (each egg has well under a 1% chance of being a Legendary, for example). How many Pokémon can I adopt from the Lab?
As many as you like! Unlike the Shelter, there's no daily limitation on how many Lab Eggs you may take. How often does the Lab get new eggs?
Every 3 minutes, new eggs will appear in the Lab.The Lab's empty! What should I do?
Simply wait three minutes, and more eggs will appear. Alternatively, you could also adopt an egg from the Shelter as well, which typically has many more eggs at any given time than the Lab.How do Repels work?
Repels are an item you can buy in the Shop to use in the Lab. Repels hide all Pokémon Eggs that are in the Lab that you have already obtained (meaning, if you were to adopt a hatched, say, Bidoof from the Shelter, but have never owned its egg, that would still appear in the Lab if you use a Repel). It's possible, and in the case of users with more complete Pokédexes, highly likely, that using a Repel returns no eggs. How do Summoning Items work?
These are explained in the "Legendaries & Novelties" tab.Personal Computer
The Personal Computer, or PC, is where trainers may store their Pokémon that aren't in their Party. How do I use the PC?
It's easy! Just click a Pokémon you wish to move, and then click the empty space in a box, or in your party, that you'd like to move it to. If you wish to reorder the Pokémon in a box, press the sort link under the box you'd like to reorder, and then you may drag and drop the Pokémon around as you wish to order them. To reorder your boxes, you may click and drag boxes around. When you're done, don't forget to press the "Save Changes" button to save all your changes - if you leave the page before doing so, they'll be lost.
Stored Pokémon can be released, if they are old enough, or moved into Daycare, your Party, the Underground, or the Vs. Seeker from inside the PC, as well.
How many Pokémon can I store in the PC?
By default, you have 25 boxes with each capable of holding 24 Pokémon each. This means you may store up to 600 Pokémon without any upgrades. You may also purchase an additional 15 boxes from the Shop, allowing you to store up to 960 Pokémon.Obtaining eggs
There are a number of different ways to obtain eggs. The main way to obtain them is through Professor Cypress' lab. New eggs come into the lab three minutes or so, continually, at every time of the day. Most of the eggs she gets are common ones, but rarer ones pop up sometimes as well! Other ways to obtain eggs include breeding Pokémon, or adopting a released egg/Pokémon at the Shelter. There are a few other methods of obtaining rarer Pokémon eggs, which are detailed in the section about Legendaries & Novelties.Maturing and hatching eggs
Some eggs require more care and time to hatch than others. Each egg has a maturity level that it must reach before it is able to hatch. The most common maturity level is 5,120, though there are some that have a lower or higher level than that. An egg cannot be hatched until it is at least an hour old, even if it has reached its required maturity level. The only exception to this is if you have a Flame Orb, which allows you to hatch an egg with full maturity regardless of how old it is. Once an egg is able to hatch, its Options drop-down box on your Pokétch will be in bold, to indicate that it is ready to hatch, and you will be notified at the top of the page by an egg icon as well. Eggs mature by being viewed or by being warmed. You can warm an egg a total of once every 24 hours, but there is no limit to how many individual eggs you can warm.Leveling up Pokémon
Pokémon level up automatically once they have reached the required amount of maturity to level up. When a Pokémon is hatched, it is level 1. The highest level that can be reached is 100. Each Pokémon has a set amount of maturity it must reach to level up, and a total amount that it must have altogether to reach level 100. For example, a Remoraid needs to get to a maturity level of 10,000 to level up. By the time it is level 100, it will have a total maturity level of 1,000,000. Pokémon mature by being viewed or being fed a berry. You can only feed a Pokémon every 24 hours, but there is no limit to how many individual Pokémon you can feed. Pokémon will also gain maturity when removed from the Poké Walker, or the Vs. Seeker.Releasing a Pokémon
Pokémon must be in your possession for at least 12 hours before you can release them. After 12 hours, eggs and Pokémon may be released from your party. Pokémon may also be released from your PC. Alternatively, if you have a Heart Scale, you can release a Pokémon before the 12 hours. A picture of a Heart Scale will appear on their info page for you to use it.Views and interactions
Eggs and Pokémon gain maturity by being viewed by other users, and also by being interacted with. Experience gains from this is calculated generally speaking every five minutes. Note that no views are gained at all for your Pokémon on GPXPlus.net itself, though, the only way to gain views is by posting your Pokémon on other websites, on your blogs, in forum signatures, and so on.Pokémon evolution
Most Pokémon have the ability to evolve. Evolution is permanent and once a Pokémon has evolved, it cannot turn back into its previous stage. When a Pokémon has reached the requirements it needs for evolution, its Options drop-down box on your Pokétch will be in bold. The most common method of Pokémon evolution is simply by reaching a required level. For example, once a Remoraid reaches level 25, it can evolve into an Octillery. Other Pokémon, however, have different methods of evolution. Some evolve by the use of an item, waiting a certain amount of days before being able to evolve, being a certain gender, or simply by becoming fully attached to you. You do not have to evolve your Pokémon, it is purely your own choice whether you choose to do so or not. If you are unsure of how to evolve a Pokémon, just check out your Pokédex! It'll tell you the requirements for any Pokémon you've ever obtained.Changing Pokémon forms
A few Pokémon have the ability to change forms. These Pokémon are only able to change their forms after a certain number of days has passed, generally speaking, though there are a few that require items as well. Once a Pokémon is able to change its form, its Options drop-down box on your Pokétch will be in bold. Changing forms is different from evolution because unlike evolution it is not permanent. You must wait a certain number of days between form changes.Shiny Pokémon
Just like in Pokémon games after the First Generation, there are "shiny" forms for every Pokémon in GPXPlus as well. While they aren't nearly as rares as they are in Pokémon games, they are still extremely rare.Pokérus
Your Pokémon can be infected with Pokérus. Having Pokérus means your Pokémon gains more maturity from both views and interactions, however, it also means that this Pokémon will be unable to leave your Party by any means, be in depositing to the Daycare, Poké Walker, Underground or PC, or being released. Having an infected Pokémon will not have the chance to infect other Pokémon in your Party, however other trainers' Pokémon may be infected when they interact with it. Pokémon may also be infected if they go to the Underground or are adopted from the Safari Zone.An infected Pokémon is automatically cured after 3 days. Only Pokémon in your Party can be infected. Eggs cannot be infected. Pokémon cannot be infected again if they already were and once a Pokémon is cured, it will no longer gain any special maturity increases.
If one of your Pokémon is infected and you wish to have it cured, you may purchase an Antidote from the shop in order to do so.
Dress Up
On GPXPlus, you may dress your Pokémon up using special accessories if you've first purchased the Fashion Case account upgrade from the Shop. Accessories may be purchased in the Shop as well, and they may also be found using the Poké Walker. Dressing up a Pokémon doesn't really affect anything, it's just for fun, however, there will on certain occasions be dress up contests in which you may enter your dressed-up Pokémon.Your Pokétch
The Pokétch on GPXPlus is, not unlike the Pokétch from the Fourth-Generation Pokémon games, in many ways a Pokémon trainer's best friend - it's your own personal tool for managing your Pokémon and items, interacting with your friends on the site, monitoring the users who interact with your Pokémon, administering your account on the game, and much more. This section will be separated into sections for each area of the Pokétch.Your Party
At the very top of your Pokétch is displayed your party. Here, you can view which Pokémon are presently in your party, some basic information, and take a number of actions on them as well. From the Options menu for each Pokémon, you can get their image codes, evolve, form change or hatch them, dress them up, release them, move them to the Daycare, Walker, Underground, Vs. Seeker or your PC, and a few other options as well.Pal Pad
The Pal Pad section of the Pokétch isn't unlocked by default, you must first purchase it from the Shop. The Pal Pad allows you to keep a list of friends on the site, monitor when they're online, and also keep track of your interactions with their Pokémon. It will also display similar information about people who have added you to their Pal Pad. You may remove friends from your Pal Pad here, and also reorder your Pal Pad friends.Recorder
The Friend Recorder is a useful tool for notifying you whenever one of your friends adopts or evolves a Pokémon, as well as many other actions they do on the site. The Administration will also use this device to periodically send out important messages to all members. You may also choose to whom the information is available to in your settings. Other users' information is available depending on their own personal settings.Interactions
The Interactions tab allows you to monitor who has interacted with your Pokémon today, as well as who you have and haven't returned the favour to. It allows you to, if you have a Pal Pad, keep track of interactions with your friends, and also with people who have added you to their Pal Pads as well.Journal
The Journal is a section of the Pokétch that must be first be purchased from the Shop to be used. It allows you to record information regarding your status, keep track of personal goals, and leave messages for users who visit your profile.Inventory
The Inventory tab shows you all the items that are presently in your possession. Certain items, including certain Account Upgrades, Egg Vouchers and Fossils may all be used from this tab as well.Achievements
Achievements on GPXPlus are certain tasks that you may accomplish in order to gain certain rewards. They vary from extremely simple and easy-to-accomplish tasks such as hatching your first egg, to very difficult achievements like collecting every single Legendary Pokémon. If you meet the requirements to unlock an Achievement, simply click the link in the Achievements tab to unlock it and, if applicable, receive your reward.Note that not every Achievement gives a reward - some are simply for bragging rights.
Statistics
The Statistics tab allows you to monitor various statistics related to your progress on the site.Daycare
Trainers may leave up to two Pokémon at any given time in the Daycare. Like in the Pokémon games, Pokémon in the Daycare will occasionally produce eggs if they're compatible.Breeding in GPXPlus is a bit more complicated than it is in Pokémon games, however. It still depends on Egg Groups, but there are a few other factors as well that are important to breeding, including:
- How long they've spent in the Daycare together
- How close they are in level
- Their rarities
- How many of that egg there are in the Shelter already.
Every hour, there is a chance that your two Pokémon will breed, if they're compatible. If they do, you may only take one of their eggs - the rest are donated to the Shelter automatically (though, if you're feeling particularly generous, you may donate all of their offspring as well).
There are two account upgrades that affect the Daycare - if you have a Destiny Knot, your two Pokémon will both be more likely to breed, and if you have a Silph Scope, you can view what type of eggs your Pokémon have laid (normally you'd only be able to see the generic egg sprites).
Walker
The Poké Walker is a feature that was introduced in Heart Gold and Soul Silver, for the DS, which would let trainers transfer one of their Pokémon into a small pedometer, in which they'd level up as the trainer physically walked around. While this isn't, for obvious reasons, possible on GPXPlus, the general idea for the Poké Walker is still the same - you can deposit a Pokémon in here, and as you visit (interact with, in other words) other trainers' Pokémon, the counter on the Poké Walker will increase. When you withdraw your Pokémon from the Walker, it will gain an amount of experience proportional to how many Pokémon you've visited, and, if you have a Fashion Case, you'll also have an opportunity of them finding a dress-up accessory. There are two account upgrades that affect the Poké Walker - if you have a Bicycle, the rate at which the counter in the Poké Walker goes up is increased, and if you have an Itemfinder, your Pokémon is more likely to find an item in the Walker.
Underground
Trainers who have an Explorer Kit may send one of their Pokémon into the Underground in search of rare items. When your Pokémon returns from the Underground, they usually will bring back an item, including Evolution Stones, Summoning Items, the Corruption Orb and rare Fossils, which can be resurrected into ancient Pokémon. How long this takes depends both on how long you spend online, and how active you are during the time you spend online. Note that each Pokémon may only visit the Underground once, and also, no EXP is gained in the Underground, only items. Pokémon have a chance at becoming infected with Pokérus if brought directly back to the party. One account upgrade can affect the Underground - if you have an Itemfinder, you will be more likely to find an item in the Underground.
Shine Recorder
Trainers who have purchased a Shine Recorder may engage in up to three separate recorded hunts for a specific species of "shiny" Pokémon. These recorded hunts may only be for eggs that you've both found and hatched, that are breedable, and are non-legendary and non-novelty.You may also engage in a Shine Race Challenge with another trainer. To challenge another trainer, you must both have a Shine Recorder. You must also be on their Pal Pad and they must be on yours. They must not currently be in another challenge or have a challenge request outstanding. The normal restrictions on shine hunts apply. Additionally, you may specify particular restrictions in your request. Accepted challenge requests are added to the queue and processed every four hours, starting at 12 AM.
Vs. Seeker
Trainers who have purchased a Vs. Seeker may send a Pokémon to engage in battle with another trainer's Pokémon. Entered Pokémon are paired up randomly once every hour, at xx:18, and shortly thereafter, when the battles are complete, they are returned to you. The outcomes of the battles are based on level differences, Pokémon types, Pokémon species and rarity, one-time use hold items that you may give your Pokémon, and most importantly, the battle instructions you give your Pokémon prior to depositing them. There are five divisions: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Training. Exp is awarded to both the winner and loser of each battle. However, the amount depends on several factors. Other than Training, each division requires a wager of points dependent upon division and Pokémon level.
Note that if there's an uneven number of participants in any given division, a single Pokémon will remain until the following session.
Settings
In the Settings tab, you may change several settings for your account on the site - the language in which Pokémon names are displayed, your online status, and several others.Codes
The Codes tab can be used to get the image codes for your Pokémon in your party, to show them off on other forums, or to put on your blog or website. Please follow these rules to ensure that your account does not get suspended/banned or that a website you run does not get blocked.
What can cause my account to be warned and banned or suspended?
Here are some things that can cause your account to be banned/suspended (other than breaking a lot of rules over on the forums):-Creating more than one account (instant ban)
-Account sharing (if you share the same internet connection, you can each have an account; simply notify a mod the account names)
-Multiple people clicking on the same account (goes with Account sharing, but needed to be pointed out)
-Constantly using proxies to raise your Pokémon faster
-Using some automated method to view/interact with your/other Pokémon constantly or to perform any other site actions
-Inappropriate Journal entry/Pokémon description/nickname: advertising, flaming, racial slurs, blacklists (of people not to click-back, etc), and so on
-Creating a website that violates one of the rules listed a little lower
-Abusing a glitch/exploit instead of just reporting it to the admins
-One main rule for the forums that should be pointed out: No posts/threads asking people to click your Pokémon are allowed
If you are active on the forums, just be sure you've read those rules.
What happens if my account is suspended?
You will not be able to access anything here or on the forums while logged into your suspended account. On top of that, none of your Pokémon will gain any maturity. When your suspension period is over, be sure to log in again at least once on the forums so your GPXPlus account becomes fully functional again.
What happens if my account is completely banned?
Aside from not being able to access the forums, your account here will be deleted and all your Pokémon sent to the shelter the midnight one week after your banning. What can cause a website I run to be blocked, or my account to be warned for running such a website?
Here are some main website ideas that we do not approve of that can cause your website to be blocked:-A hatchery (a website where users add their Pokémon to a database that displays a bunch at one time to accumulate views for many at once)
-Any other form of automated/mass click/view exchanging
-Complete egg guides
-Stealing our layout or custom images
-Exploration guides, with actual story content and/or artwork
-Stealing our exploration stories/artwork
Why aren't egg guides approved of?
Whatever your specific reason is for creating a guide, it can have a negative side-effect. Complete egg guides that show what every egg design hatches into and what its description is can be used to have an upper hand on finding certain Pokémon in the Lab, whether they are rare or not. You have to remember that hundreds of people are playing at once and everyone deserves a fair chance of what they get from the Lab instead of a percent of the users refreshing constantly and monitoring for specific descriptions. Yes, guides can help make sure you don't get something you really don't want, but that type of challenge is all part of the game. What happens when a website gets blocked?
If we decide to block a website, all user-posted images of their own Pokémon will show up as this egg.No, their actual Pokémon will not be killed or deleted or anything like that.
Along with that, if you click a GPXPlus link from a blocked website, it will take you to a Site Blocked page.
How can I get my website unblocked?
If you feel us blocking you is an error or you have corrected whatever the problem is, you can contact the administration: http://www.gtsplus.net/contactThese rules may be subject to change at any time without notice.
Pokémon Shelter
The Shelter is the location where all unwanted Pokémon that other trainers release are dropped, as well as where all Daycare Egg donations go. Other trainers are free to then adopt these Pokémon and raise them themselves. Users whose accounts are deleted when banned also have all their Pokémon gradually released into the Shelter over the following 24 hours. The Shelter is divided into two specific sections: The Egg Shelter and the Safari Zone. The Egg Shelter contains only eggs and the Safari Zone contains only hatched Pokémon. You may see up to 60 species of egg or 15 species of hatched Pokémon at a time.
What Pokémon are available from Shelter?
There's no limitation on what is available in the Shelter, be it an Egg or hatched Pokémon. It's entirely dependent on what other users are breeding, and on what gets released into the Shelter. How many Pokémon can I adopt from the Shelter?
Normally, you may take six per day. If you wish to take more, you may buy up to five Shelter Pass account upgrades to allow you to adopt an additional four per day.How often do new Pokémon appear in the Shelter?
After being released or donated, a Pokémon takes at least 15 minutes to appear in the Shelter, however, this number is random.Doesn't that make it difficult to give Eggs to another user?
Yes, but that's the point - the Shelter isn't intended to be a makeshift Trade Station. If we wanted to include trading in the game, we'd make an actual trades system... which we have no intention of doing.Something must be wrong, every time I claim an egg it says another user already has!
This isn't a bug, there isn't anything wrong - keep in mind that there are sometimes several hundred users browsing the Shelter at any given time, and Rare Pokémon or Novelties, or simply some Pokémon that are in high demand due to certain Achievements can, and do get adopted almost instantly. What does the Sweet Honey do?
Like the tooltip says, the Sweet Honey aids you in finding Pokémon you are shiny hunting by blocking everything you are not hunting. You must have hatched at least 15 eggs of the Pokémon you are hunting. If there is nothing for you to see after you have used your Sweet Honey, it will still disappear from your inventory.Shop, Items and Points
On GPXPlus, there are a variety of different items with numbers of different uses. The easiest way of acquiring them is via the Shop, buying them with points. How to obtain points
Points, the currency used on GPXPlus, can be obtained in a variety of different ways. For the most part, most actions on the site award you with points - adopting an egg, regardless of its origin, hatching an egg, leveling up a Pokémon to level 100, and interacting with another user's Pokémon all give you various amounts of points, with leveling up a Pokémon to level 100 awarding the most. You may also sell any items you have in the shop, though some are not sellable. Certain Achievements also grant the user with point rewards. Points may also be won via the Vs. Seeker, if you are victorious. How to obtain items
There are innumerable ways of obtaining items around the site. This will be broken down by item categories.Evolution Stones and Items
Evolutions Stones and Items are the most common of items, which are used for evolving and form-changing certain species of Pokémon. They can be purchased from the shop, obtained in the Underground, obtained from certain Achievements, and also found randomly around the site.Rare Evolution Items function exactly as Evolution Items and Stones, only they tend to be harder to acquire, more valuable, and generate Novelty Pokemon when used.
Valuable Items
Valuable Items such as the Rare Bone, Nugget, etc. are items that have no use other than to be sold for large amounts of points. They can be found randomly around the site, as well as in the Underground.Dress-Up Accessories
Dress-Up Accessories may be purchased in the Shop, and also found sometimes by Pokémon in the PokéWalker, but only by users who have first puchased the Fashion Case account upgrade. They may be used to dress up your Pokémon.Battle Items
Battle Items may be purchased in the Shop, obtained from certain Achievements, and found randomly when hatching an egg. These items can be given to a Pokémon in the Vs. Seeker to affect their battle strategy. Each item represents one of the seventeen Pokémon types.Hold Items
Hold Items are used specifically for the Battle Tower. More information may be found in the Battle Tower page.Miscellaneous Items
Miscellaneous Items are one-time use items that have various effects. Items include drinks, which may be given to Pokémon to raise their Happiness stats; Repel, which can be used in the Lab to hide eggs you've already obtained; Antidote, which may be used to cure a Pokémon of Pokérus; Heart Scales, which allow a Pokémon or egg to be released prior to the 12-hour time limit; Flame Orbs, which allow an egg at full maturity, though not yet an hour old, to hatch; Focus Sash, which allows a Pokémon to battle again that day; Escape Rope, which allows you to resend a Pokémon to the Underground; Eviolite, which allows you to bypass the 5-day wait period for certain evolutions; Heart Sweets, which allow you to take one extra egg from the daycare; Sweet Honey, which filters the shelter with only the Pokémon that you are currently shiny hunting; and Sprite Changer, which gives you the option to change your Pokémon's sprite into any canon game's designated sprite.Repels, drinks, Sprite Changers, and Antidotes may be purchased in the Shop. Heart Scales, Flame Orbs, and Focus Sashes are only found randomly around the site. These items, along with Sweet Honey, can also be found through hatching eggs and also in the Underground. Heart Sweets are obtainable through completion of a certain Exploration.
Activation of Miscellaneous Items is varied. Some may be used from a Pokémon's drop-down menu; others are used 'invisibly' in that they can only be activated when performing a normal task (such as using a Flame Orb to hatch a Pokémon prematurely); the Sweet Honey is activated from the Shelter, and Repels are used in the Lab. For the most part, figuring how an item should be activated requires little guesswork.
Summoning Items, Fossils and Egg Vouchers
Summoning Items, Fossils and Egg Vouchers are rare items that can be used to obtain Novelty and Legendary Pokémon. They are explained in the "Legendaries & Novelties" tab.Account Upgrades

Back Room
There is also a second area to the Shop, accessible to people who have purchased the Secret Key account upgrade. This area allows you to purchase items that other users have already sold off, at a 25% discount. Summoning Items and Fossils, as well as Hold Items, once sold by other users, can be found here as well.Note that in order to curb hoarding, users are only able to acquire two Fossils, Summoning Items or Corruption Orbs in this manner per day. Also, users that have three or more Fossils, Summoning Items or Corruption Orbs in their inventory will be unable to acquire Fossils, Summoning Items or Corruption Orbs in this manner. On days with sales, the back room is closed, however.
Shop Sales
Occasionally, there will be sales in the Shop, during which all items are discounted. These will be clearly identified at the top of the Shop's page. On days with sales, the Back Room is closed, however. An item I want isn't in stock! What should I do?
The Shop's stock is rotated daily at 6 AM and PM server time, so simply check back later and hope for the best!Legendary and Novelty Pokémon
Pokémon referred to as Legendaries (or Very Rares) and Novelties are among the rarest and most valuable Pokémon on GPXPlus. Unlike the vast majority of Pokémon, they can generally only be found through special means.Legendary/Novelty Egg Limit
In the interests of fairness, since Legendary and Novelty eggs are both fairly hard to come by, all users are limited to three unhatched Legendary and Novelty eggs in their party at any given time. If you hit this limit, you will be unable to acquire them by most means. Also, in order to curb hoarding, you will only be able to claim a maximum of two Legendary and Novelty eggs or Pokémon in total from either the Lab or the Shelter, excluding ones you Summon yourself, per day, and furthermore, if you have obtained more than a two (with three specific exceptions, being Deoxys and three novelties that have lots of forms) of a Legendary or Novelty from either the Shelter or the Lab, you will be unable to find that Pokémon in the Shelter. Note that Pokémon that you summon yourself do not count against this limit.
How many Legendary/Novelty Pokémon are there in total?
With respect to Legendary Pokémon, there are 53 in total - every single one from all five generations of Pokémon games, as well as the alternate forms for Giratina and Shaymin introduced in Pokémon Platinum. Arceus's alternate forms are not available. There is a much larger number of Novelties, and we are constantly adding new ones as well for various occasions and for different site features.
Monthly Events
A handful of times per month, an event is conducted during which both Legendary and Novelty Eggs are handed out at random to a specific number of members. You don't need to do anything, or sign up anywhere to participate in these events - on the day of the event, which will be announced ahead of time on the forums, you simply need to have an empty slot in your party, and you'll have a chance of receiving that day's Event Egg. Note that as of September 2010, this method has been discontinued and replaced by another system, outlined below.Explorations
Explorations replace the old monthly event system. This new system was implemented so that obtaining certain Pokémon was less luck-oriented. Every user can participate in an Exploration as long as he/she meets the requirements for that particular Exploration. An in-depth guide to Explorations can be found in its respective tab.Tiny Egg, Old Man and Chests
On very rare occasions, a Tiny Egg, Old Man or a Chest will appear on the left-hand side of the site, next to where recent updates are posted. It will then remain there until you click on it, or, in the case of the Old Man or Tiny Egg, if you fill up all the empty spots in your party. When you click on it, you will be rewarded with a Manaphy Egg (Tiny Egg), Missingno. Egg (Old Man) or, in the case of Chests, one of many rare items that may be used to acquire certain Legendary and Novelty Pokémon.Summoning Items
One of the types of items receivable from Chests are Summoning Items. They may also be obtained from the Underground on occasion. Summoning Items may be used from the Lab, after which a Legendary Egg related to the item you've used is summoned to the lab. Immediately after being summoned, the summoner will have five minutes during which he, and only he may claim this egg. After these five minutes, however, anyone can claim the egg. Keep in mind that it is not automatic that the egg appears - it is simply inserted to the other 100+ lab eggs that are presently there, and is as likely to appear as any other egg. Using a Repel in conjunction with a Summoning Item is often helpful, if it's a Legendary you've never obtained in the past.Rare Evolution Items
Rare Evolution Items are valuable items that can be used to turn a Pokemon into a rarer, Novelty Pokemon.Corruption Orbs
The Corruption Orb is another rare item obtainable via Chests and in the Underground. It can be used on certain unhatched eggs (not hatched Pokémon) to change them into an alternate form. Every single corrupted form can only be obtained in this manner. There are four eggs in total that may be corrupted: Lugia, Groudon, Dialga and Bidofo.Blue Stone
The Blue Stone is similar to the Corruption Orb in that it must be used on a certain unhatched egg to change its form. The Blue Stone can only be used on Zergoose. The Blue Stone was given out as a prize for those who completed the August 2010 Shiny Pichu Hunt. However, the Blue Stone may also be found randomly by hatching two certain Pokémon.Egg Vouchers
On certain rare occasions, Egg Vouchers will be handed out, which can be exchanged by the user for any egg of their choice (within certain limitations), which include certain Legendaries and Novelties.Fossils
On rare occasions, a Pokémon may return from the Underground with a Fossil, which may be resurrected into a rare, ancient Pokémon egg.Breeding
Certain Novelty Pokémon can be bred in the Daycare, just like any other Pokémon. They are much less likely to breed than more common Pokémon, but it is possible nonetheless.Lab
On extremely rare occasions, Professor Cypress' Lab may receive a Legendary egg along with the normal Common, Uncommon and Rare eggs. They may be claimed just like any other egg. Also, it is possible to find other users' summoned Pokémon in the Lab, if they are not quick enough to find and adopt them.Shelter
If another user releases a Legendary or a Novelty to the Shelter, then any other user may claim it there just like any other Shelter Pokémon. Also, it is possible that there are Novelty Pokémon among the Daycare offspring donated to the Shelter by other users.Other Distributions
On random occasions, the Administration may make a limited number of a Legendary or a Novelty Pokémon available via the Lab and/or the Shelter. This is in most cases completely unannounced and random, so you don't need to worry about trying specifically to obtain Legendary or Novelty Eggs in this manner.Important Time Information
